Thanks to everyone who participated in our spring give-away! Congratulations to the Murphy family on winning the plant drawing!

Coming May 20/21– Another Celebration of God’s Good Creation! 

 Just in time for spring planting –after Masses on May 20/21 in the east sacristy you will find free copies of a little booklet called “Praised Bee”, a beautifully illustrated work brought to us by the company that made our Easter Candle. It has fascinating information on the gift of bees, as well as excerpts from St. Francis’s Canticle of Creation,  and more. You will also find a small book with your name on it called “Laudato Si” (Praised Be). It’s an abbreviated version of Pope Francis’ encyclical by the same name.

Two final pieces to this little celebration:
1) Many people do not use all of the seeds in a packet. If you have extra seeds you’re invited to bring them and swap with someone else.
2) While you’re there, enter your name in the drawing for an outdoor plant.

WE PLANTED A HERITAGE OAK TREE
SUNDAY, APRIL 16

WEST SIDE OF PARISH CENTER

TOM VONSEGGERN MET US, SHOVEL IN HAND, TO SHARE INFORMATION ON HOW TO CORRECTLY PLANT AND CARE FOR A TREE IN OUR AREA. THE CITY OF SIDNEY TREE BOARD  GENEROUSLY DONATED TWO TREES, A HERITAGE OAK, WHICH WAS PLANTED AT THE PARISH CENTER, AND A MERLOT BIRD CHERRY TREE WHICH WAS GIVEN AWAY IN A DRAWING THAT MORNING.
AFTER THE PLANTING AND DRAWING WE CAPPED THE CELEBRATION WITH ICE CREAM TREATS FOR ALL!
IT WAS A BEAUTIFUL EVENT!
